Travelling to Mexico is pretty common among both Americans and Europeans these days. Visiting Mexico is known to be a very impressive adventure that will change your view of life. There are many places you can visit and many activities you can do. But first, here are tips that you should consider before making your way to this beautiful country.
Don’t just stay on the beach
It may be true that Mexico is home to some of the most beautiful beaches and that may be the number one reason that you plan to go to Mexico. However, there is so much more to this beautiful country than just it’s beaches. Don’t get me wrong, take a day or two or three to relax on the beach, get a tan, play some beach volleyball and spend some quality time with your loved ones on the beach. Then, when that is done, go out there and explore the Mexico’s cities and countrysides. Out there is an adventure on it’s own. You will get to do many inspiring activities, get to know the Mexican history and culture, and also get to buy souvenirs for your friends and family back home.
Keep your valuables safe
The streets of some neighborhoods in Mexico are not the safest, therefore you should always keep your valuables safe. If you are wearing a very expensive watch that you can live without for a day as you visit the streets of Mexico, leave it in your hotel room just to be safe. This especially applies for when you take public transportation or when you are walking by yourself in unsafe neighborhoods. This doesn’t mean that you should be tense and stressed out, just be aware of your surroundings.
Your visa and passport are also valuables that you should leave in your hotel room where they are safe. Just make sure that you carry a photocopy of your passport and visa with you at all times.
“No dining before nine”
It is in Latin culture to dine later in the evening. Dining at six o clock in the evening is not called dinner, but snack! If you want to meet locals and get involved in some Mexican nightlife, make sure that you are dining at a later hour.
